Quantal
is the only conservatory roofing systems company that has
an in-house
paint shop facility. Specially designed to offer customers
an even greater choice
of colours, this great resource means that all pre-coated
aluminium, mill finish or
PVC-U components can be spray/baked in-house using the latest,
high-grade
acrylic formulation and technology employed on modern car
body work.
Any
colour from the RAL or BS range can be selected and any
style or design
can be treated. The resulting finish is extremely durable
and colourfast and is covered by a ten-year guarantee.
More
and more consumers are choosing to add coloured conservatories
to their homes, because they want to create a distinctive
style or enhance the heritage
feel of a period property. The ability to satisfy the increase
in demand represents
a real sales opportunity for installers in the market place.
Nailsworth based Approved Quantal Fabricator Trade Plas Conservatories
won
first prize in the inaugural Conservatory Design Competition at
Glassex 2004.
The winning entry, in
the Conventional Domestic category, featured a stunning
double aspect gable conservatory on a bespoke-built Cotswold
stone house in Gloucestershire.
The judges felt that
the structure ‘created an elegant and sensitive addition
to
the property, whilst offering maximum space and light’.
Craig Luff and Richard
Phelps, both of Trade Plas, received their award from Gerry
Sherwood, Group
Marketing Manager, Emap Maclaren, organisers of Glassex 2004.
The double aspect gable Quantal roof has a dual colour polyester
powder coated aluminium finish, charcoal grey externally and
cream internally. ‘Sunburst’
Georgian Bar designs feature on each gable. Solid cast aluminium
cresting and
finials give an authentic and aesthetically pleasing appearance
to the roof.
The roof features two
BBA approved Quantal roof vents, and is glazed with grey
anti-sun self-cleaning glass. The conservatory also has an air
conditioning unit,
to maintain a comfortable living environment all year round.
To really give the feeling
of bringing the garden into the heart of the home, the front
has a generous 3.1 metre opening with bi-folding doors. This
is made possible by
the use of the innovative Quantal structural gable lintel, which
gives the entire conservatory great lateral rigidity.
The result is
a fabulous conservatory, completely in keeping with the character
of
the house, which the homeowners are truly delighted with.
We have presented several of our Fabricator and Retail Network
customers with
the prestigious Regional Fabricator and Installer 2004 Awards.
General Manager
Richard Hulbert comments, “Once more, we are delighted to
recognise the
supreme efforts of our customers and thank them for striving continuously
for
such high standards”
Channel Windows is one of the newest members of the Quantal
Approved Retail Network. The well-established family business
has a reputation for installing high
quality conservatories and offering excellent service to
its customers.
Managing Director Steve Smee explains, “Like other
reputable installation
companies, we recognise that the addition of a conservatory
is a major investment
for homeowners, so we are keen to demonstrate all the various
options available
to them and build the conservatory of their dreams.
“The QRN package has given us a vast array of tools
that sets our business apart
from others in the marketplace, and helps us win those important
sales.
“Assistance with showroom planning and design, and
a collection of point-of-sale literature and displays means
we can show our products to the very best advantage,
and we have also received valuable web design advice.
“And
our consumers’ newsletter is proving to be a valuable
asset when talking to potential customers, as does the use
of the VectorQ software.
“Since our move to Quantal, business is really booming.
The unique, high quality
Quantal product has been backed by professional, friendly
support, and we are
delighted with the results,” concludes Steve.
We
are pleased to welcome Everglade and Sentinel to the

Joint

from Jacki Sutton,

This attractive Edwardian conservatory was fitted by Leicester
based Quantal
Approved Installer Magna Windows.
Managing Director of Magna, Brian Cheshire, explains, “The
homeowner was keen
to replace the existing old wooden lean-to with a structure
that would be in keeping
with the traditional appearance of the property whilst offering
all the benefits of
modern materials.
“The external aluminium Quantal roof is ideal for this
project because it is so strong
and the polyester powder coated finish will keep its brilliant
white appearance for
many years with minimal maintenance.
“The conservatory
is south facing, so the roof is glazed with 24 mm heat reflecting
glass, which will help to maintain a comfortable environment
even on the
brightest days.

Have you ever wondered how we ensure that your roof is delivered
to you in
excellent condition?
The quality of products leaving
our factory is of paramount importance to us,
and we take every possible step to make sure our customers
are delighted with
our service.
Quantal’s factory is
operated by multi-skilled, team-orientated and highly motivated
technicians. An ongoing training and incentive programme
ensures that every
individual is responsible for maintaining high quality workmanship,
and encourages accountability at every stage of the factory
process. Quality inspection is part of everyone’s
daily routine.
Each order is accompanied
through the system by its own unique paperwork.
Before leaving the factory, every single item on the work
sheet is checked by a dedicated team of inspectors to make
sure the order is complete.
The order is then passed to
despatch, who carefully pack the order to ensure
the safe and complete delivery of products. Components are
passed through
a machine that first encloses them in a protecting envelope
of bubble wrap, and
then tightly spiral-wraps them with polythene film.
Every package is labelled,
identifying the customer, roof style, and a number that
signifies the opening order on site, so that the correct
components are on hand for
each stage of installation.
They can then be loaded
onto our own fleet of delivery vehicles for transportation
to our customers right across the UK.
