Choosing the right glass for the job
At Quantal we offer a complete range of double glazed sealed units to suit all price
budgets. With the Quantal range you can ensure you get the right product at the
right price. What’s more we will deliver direct to your chosen location for no extra
cost.
Self Cleaning Glass
Self cleaning glass is ideal for conservatories as they can be hard to clean. The
special coating on the outer pane of glass allows the sun to breakdown dirt which
rain then washes away. Available in neutral, clear, green or blue.
Low E Glass
Low E glass is ideal for North facing conservatories where minimising heat loss
in the winter is a priority. Quantal Low E glass is available in clear or blue.
Solar Control Glass
Ideal for South facing conservatories Solar Control glass will reduce the amount
of solar gain on hot days whilst minimising heat loss in the winter. Solar Control
glass is available in clear or blue.
Argon Gas filled Sealed Units
When argon gas is used between the two panes of glass that make up the sealed unit
insulation is improved by a massive 20%. This is generally utilised in high performance
glass.
Tinted Glass
We now have a complete suite of colours to choose from including Bronze, Green,
Clear, and Neutral. Tints are available on standard and Self Cleaning glass.
Obscure Glass
Use of obscure glass is ideal for increasing levels of privacy for conservatories
that may be overlooked. We recommend Minster or Stippolyte but other patterns are
available.
Satin Double Glazed Sealed Units (DGSU’s)
Brand new for 2011 we can now supply a satin/clear double glazed sealed unit. If
you have a client that requires an element of privacy but wants glass, you can specify
satin glass either for part, or the entire conservatory roof. Please note Satin
double glazed units are not available as a self cleaning option.
4 Metre Long Double Glazed Sealed Units
We can now supply a 4 metre long DGSU’s to a max size of 2.4 SqM2, and it will still
be a kite marked unit. The DGSU’s are 4mm toughened glass (4x16x4).
